Day 17

Phase 1 complete. We moved one monster Uhaul truck to the Stump Farm. I am guessing we have one more truckload to go... probably less crap, but still significant amount of crap to go.

Day 13

We sort of are at an impasse. If we pack any more, we dont have the stuff to get by. But there is still a lot of crap to be packed. I am looking forward to sleeping on the floor and eating McDonalds for a few days.

Day 12

Hey. I used to get paychecks every 2nd Friday. What the hell happened? I didnt get one today.

On another note: I successfully transported the rust bucket that is known as TR6 to the Stump Farm under it's own power. I mail ordered tires last Saturday and they arrived Thursday. Not only were they lightning fast, but they beat the competition by about $150. If you have an old clunker with hard to find tires, I highly recommend Coker. I cannot tell you how many tire stores have actually had the balls to tell me "there is no such thing as a Michelin 185/15. You are missing the third number." Bah.

Day 9

Still hovering in the 80th percentile:

Tires to move the bucket of Triumph bolts are to arrive tomorrow.

Day 8

Man's packing scale:

It is important for those of you that have been in one place for a long long time (like me) to be able to tell how far you have gotten on the packing scale. Note that the man need not be involved until the 40 percentile mark.

10% - Packing crap in the closets you have not seen in 10 years.
20% - Books in the book case you havent read in 10 years.
30% - Crystal/Girlie stuff
40% - Garage.
50% - Computer room crap (less computers)
60% - Stereo equipment (less MP3 server, since it is included below.
70% - Clothes (or most of them. It is important to remember that Texas law still does not allow you to move naked.)
70% - Stereo equipment (less MP3 server, since it is included below.
80% - Kitchen
90% - Computers/TiVo
100% - Booze/coffee.

I am hovering in the 80 percentile range.

Day 5

No real updates == no real news.

I hate to post: Woke up. Brushed teeth. Fed dogs. Ate breakfast (including daily requirement of pork products). Brushed teeth again. Fished sausage bits out of my teeth. Cleaned up cat vomit. Packed crap in boxes. Threw crap in trashcan. Packed more crap in more boxes. (Repeat ad nauseum). Drank a beer. Went to bed.

Day 2

I actually thought it would be funny to just put "oh, I will never keep up with this... nevermind" for the second day of the Quitters Blog.

Day 1

My first day as a slacker. It did feel a little odd this morning "sleeping in" until 7:00am, but otherwise nothing notable. Mostly a day spent packing and purging extra stuff. It seems like there is a zillion things to do and its hard to sort out what to do first. I guess I will just have a beer then.
